Description

The Faraday Motion Spine is the simplest way to get started building your own custom Electric Skateboard, enabled by 3D Printing. The units of the Spine are completely modular, fully supported and multi-purpose.

The Spine provides a solid backbone and the modular setup makes it possible to upgrade into infinity, all the way to the Faraday Hyperboard and even beyond. You can basically start building any type of Personal Electic Vehicle from the Spine Units and the available upgrades.

Faraday Motion began as a research vehicle based on freely available 3D models and schematics. Our very first public project, the Faraday Spine, is capable of reaching speeds of 25-30 Km/h, with a range up to 10 Km (with 1-hour charging time) and only weighs 8 Kg.

It requires about 100 hours of printing time and a minimum printer bed size of 200 x 200 mm. It is controlled through a mobile app. The Spine is also modular and can be upgraded to the Faraday Motion Hyperboard R2. The Hyperboard R2 is the most advanced electric skateboard in the world.

Anyone is able to download the design files and source their own components; however, for those who either do not have the time or the skills to put it together themselves, we offer a full assembly kit as well as a Print Yourself version.
