Description
After participating in the RepRap project for almost two years and travelling with my Prusa Mendel, I found the need for a more portable, less fragile printer. I began by designing the fully printable Tantillus seen below.
Immediately after pictures of the original Tantillus were released to the public, I was inundated with requests for finished parts. Realizing there was a demand for a small portable printer and that the demand could not be kept up with through the printing of the entire case, I proceeded to design a simpler version using laser cut panels and printed connectors. The result is what you will find documented here.
Both printers use the same electronics and share all the same printed parts for the Extruder, X, Y and Z axis. So once you have assembled one version you will be able to build the other with ease. This also means if you have a Laser cut version and a Printed version you can swap parts without compatibility issues.
